On 12 February, Sunwah's Chairman Dr. Jonathan Choi donated additional HK$1 million to Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School in Hong Kong to support the school development. The cheque was received by Home Affairs of HKSAR Secretary Xu-Yingwei on behalf of the School.
In 2001, Sunwah pioneered to echo the government's "Through-train" education system to establish the Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School, which was the first non-profit private school to adopt the "through train system" from primary, secondary to post-secondary education under one roof in Hong Kong. It emphasizes on the students all rounded development and focuses interactive and inspiratory teaching methodology. Since its inception, the Po Leung Kuk Choi Kai Yau School has developed into a renowned school and a model of quality education in Hong Kong. The accumulative donation from the Choi's family exceeds HK$60 million.
